The Pressler Project

Since 2005, each Saturday from 4-6pm on Northside Radio April Pressler has been producing and presenting a weekly two-hour program packed with the latest releases from genres including ambient, chillout, lounge, house, electronica, jazz-funk, and more. April provides her audiences with modern melodic world music tracks that are completely fresh each week. Through her music selections, she encourages musical appreciation and enjoyment with unstressed relaxed moods and she gives her listeners vital information about each artist and track that she plays. She also features and celebrates contemporary Aboriginal and Indigenous music, especially during NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) in the first week of July each year. From time to time, April includes interviews with local musicians and prominent personalities such as cultural figures, Aboriginal leaders, and local or state government representatives. April Pressler is also a voice over artist, audiobook narrator, screen and theatre actor, singer- songwriter, journalist, communications strategist and business consultant. Besides Northside, since 2005 April has been producing and presenting weekly programs on the national RPH network. She is hoping to spend more time on song writing and singing, in collaboration with local established music artists.
